Where everything lives.
Fit AI Connect is built so there is nothing to trust us with. Here is every piece of your data, and where it is.
Your Garmin password
Typed on Garmin's own sign-in page, in a separate window. The app never sees it and never stores it.
Never with usYour sign-in key
When you sign in, Garmin hands back a key so the app can fetch your data. It is kept in your computer's keychain (Keychain on macOS, Credential Manager on Windows), never in a plain file.
Your keychainYour health and activity data
One database file in the app's own folder on your computer: sleep, resting heart rate, HRV, daily summaries, activities and laps, about a year back.
Your computerWhat Claude can do
Claude Desktop starts Fit AI Connect in a read-only mode. It can look things up in that file to answer you. It cannot change, delete or upload anything.
Read onlyWhat goes over the internet
Only the requests your computer makes to Garmin to fetch your data. Nothing is sent to us; there is no Fit AI Connect server and no account with us.
Garmin only
Signing out
Signing out removes the sign-in key from your keychain. You choose whether to keep the local copy of your data or delete it too.
Claude and your answers
When you ask Claude a question, Claude Desktop reads the parts of your data it needs from the file on your computer and uses them in its reply. What Claude does with your conversation is covered by Anthropic's own privacy terms, the same as any other chat with Claude.

The honest caveats
Fit AI Connect is an early beta. Garmin can change how its sign-in or data works at any time, which may stop syncing until the app is updated. The beta builds aren't signed yet; here's what that means.
