Connect Claude in one click.
Fit AI Connect works with Claude Desktop on macOS and Windows today. Here is what the button does, and what to do if something looks off.
Claude Desktop
You need Claude Desktop installed and signed in. The website version of Claude can't reach an app on your computer.
- Open Fit AI Connect and let the first sync finish.
- Click Connect to your AI, then Claude Desktop.
- Quit Claude Desktop completely and open it again.
- Ask something like "How did I sleep last night?" Claude asks permission the first time it uses Fit AI Connect.
What the button changes
Claude Desktop keeps a settings file listing the tools it may use. Fit AI Connect makes a dated backup of that file, then adds one entry for itself. Everything else in the file is left exactly as it was.
Disconnecting
Open Connect to your AI again and choose Remove. Restart Claude Desktop and it no longer sees your data.
"Your Claude connection is out of date"
This appears if you moved or reinstalled the app, so Claude Desktop is pointing at an old copy. Click Reconnect and restart Claude Desktop.
ChatGPT
Not supported yet. ChatGPT connects to tools from OpenAI's servers, which can't reach an app running only on your computer. Making that work would mean putting your data on the internet while it's on, which goes against how Fit AI Connect is built. If a way is found, it will be off by default and clearly marked while on.
